United States Marine Corps

 

College: First Place through third Place: St. Mary's College, Moraga, CA (Women)

 

Top Woman & Man: Both were from St. Mary's College; names will follow this week at this location !

 

As related this year, due to off-shore operations, about 9,000 miles due west of LZ (Landing Zone) Shamrock (the CP-Command Position-of the SF USMC Irish Sprint) 
we ran a "stealth" version of the event with very few "extras".

 

The San Francisco Police and Fire Departments stepped up to the plate-Big Time- and provided our traffic control, course security and even drinking water off their pumper truck for our runners !

 

After weeks of heavy rain, we had a great, sunny day with very little wind!

 

Approximately 400 runners from San Francisco High Schools, St. Mary's College and USMC Devil Pups and Pooles (potential, future Marines, signed up and  waiting to ship out to Recruit training) composed the bulk of the runners.

 

We'll see you at the 26th Annual Honolulu U.S. Marine Corps Irish Sprint!
